Headux Titan TIG200 Pulse

Where Precision Meets Power

⚡ DC Pulse TIG • HF Arc Start • 200A • Stainless & Steel

🔥 WHY WELDERS CHOOSE THE TIG200 PULSE

Imagine laying a perfect bead on a 1.5mm stainless exhaust pipe — no burn-through, no distortion, just a clean, consistent weld that looks like it came off a CNC machine. That's what the Titan TIG200 Pulse delivers, every single time.

The Pulse function alternates between a high peak current and a low background current — giving the weld pool time to cool between pulses. The result? Less heat distortion, tighter HAZ, and a beautiful stacked-dime appearance that sets your work apart.

Whether you're fabricating motorcycle frames, food-grade stainless tanks, or precision steel components — the TIG200 Pulse gives you the control to do it right.

✦ WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT

🎯

Pulse Control — Precision on Demand

Adjustable pulse frequency and duty cycle let you dial in the perfect rhythm for thin sheet, pipe, or structural work. Watch the arc dance in sync with your torch movement.

HF Arc Start — Touch-Free Ignition

No scratch start. No tungsten contamination. The high-frequency ignition fires the arc cleanly every time — protecting your tungsten and your workpiece from day one.

🌡️

Down-Slope & Post-Flow — No Crater Cracks

Adjustable down-slope gradually reduces current at the end of the weld, eliminating crater cracks. Post-gas flow shields the tungsten and weld pool as they cool — a must for stainless and titanium.

🔢

Digital LED Panel — Read It at a Glance

Large, clear display shows all parameters in real time. Set your amperage, pulse rate, pre-flow, and post-flow without guessing — even in a bright workshop environment.

🪶

Compact & Lightweight — Go Where the Job Is

Inverter technology keeps the machine light and portable. Take it to the workshop, the site, or the garage — without sacrificing professional-grade performance.

🛡️

VRD Safety + Thermal Protection

Voltage Reduction Device lowers open-circuit voltage when the arc is not active — protecting the operator. Thermal overload protection automatically shuts down before damage occurs.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Can the Titan TIG200 Pulse weld aluminium?
The TIG200 Pulse is a DC TIG welder, optimised for stainless steel, mild steel, copper, and titanium. Aluminium welding requires AC TIG — this machine does not support aluminium welding. Please contact us to discuss the right machine for your application.
What is DC Pulse TIG and why is it better for thin materials?
DC Pulse TIG alternates between a high peak current and a lower background current. This reduces total heat input, minimises distortion, and produces a consistent fish-scale bead appearance — ideal for thin stainless steel, food-grade equipment, and precision fabrication across the EU.
Does it support foot pedal control?
Yes. The Titan TIG200 Pulse supports foot pedal control for real-time amperage adjustment during welding — giving you precise heat control without stopping. Essential for positional welding and thin material work.
What tungsten electrode should I use?
For DC TIG on steel and stainless steel, use 2% Lanthanated (gold) or 2% Thoriated (red) tungsten electrodes. These provide excellent arc stability and long service life. Supported diameters: 1.0 to 3.2 mm.
Is the machine CE certified and compliant for EU use?
Yes. The Titan TIG200 Pulse is fully CE certified and IEC 60974-1 compliant. It meets EU Low Voltage and EMC Directives. Full CE documentation is available on request — suitable for EU procurement and regulated industries.
Can I use it with a generator on site?
Yes. The wide input voltage tolerance (±15%) makes it compatible with generator power and unstable grid supply — ideal for outdoor construction sites and remote locations across Europe.
What shielding gas is required for TIG welding?
Use 100% Argon (Ar) at a flow rate of 8–12 L/min. Do not use mixed gases (Ar/CO₂) for TIG welding as they cause tungsten oxidation and weld contamination.
What warranty is included?
All Headux machines include a 2-year warranty with support from our German engineering team. Contact us at headux.de/pages/contact-us for warranty claims or technical assistance.
