Headux TitanCut 100 | Heavy-Duty Plasma Cutter 100A | Cuts 35mm Steel | Pilot Arc | LT101 Torch | 3-Phase | CE Certified
Headux TitanCut 100 — Heavy-Duty Industrial Plasma Cutter, 100A, 35mm Clean Cut
Built for the most demanding industrial cutting environments. 100A output, Pilot Arc, LT101 torch with 5m lead, 3-phase power, 60% duty cycle. Cuts mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium, and copper. Clean cut up to 35mm — bevel cut up to 30mm. Pilot Arc enables contactless arc initiation on mesh, grid, rusty, and coated surfaces without pre-cleaning.
Pilot Arc — Contactless Arc Initiation
Initiates the plasma arc without contact with the workpiece. Cuts mesh, grid, and perforated material reliably. Starts on rusty, painted, and coated surfaces — no pre-cleaning required. Essential for industrial fabrication where surface condition varies.
100A Heavy-Duty Output — 35mm Clean Cut
30–100A cutting range. Clean cut up to 35mm thick plate. Bevel cut up to 30mm. Designed for heavy fabrication, structural steel, and industrial cutting applications where smaller machines reach their limits.
LT101 Hand Cutting Torch — 5m Lead
Trafimet-style LT101 centre-pin fitting torch with a 5m lead for wide-area cutting without repositioning the machine. Consumables — electrodes, swirl rings, plasma caps, and nozzles — are widely available from all major welding distributors.
3-Phase Power — Industrial Grade Stability
3-phase power supply delivers stable, high-output industrial performance at full 100A. Requires compressed air supply at 4–6 bar (400–600 kPa). Suitable for workshop and fabrication environments with standard industrial supply.
60% Duty Cycle — Built for Production Cutting
60% duty cycle at rated output — 6 minutes of cutting per 10-minute window at maximum amperage. Designed for sustained heavy-duty cutting in production environments. Thermal overload protection prevents damage if limits are exceeded.
How Plasma Cutting Works
An electric circuit is established between the plasma electrode and the workpiece. In advanced machines like the TitanCut 100, an additional Pilot Arc circuit allows the plasma energy to be initiated without direct contact with the workpiece — enabling cutting of mesh, grid, and intermittent-contact surfaces.
When power is applied, the flowing plasma gas passes through the nozzle orifice. Combined with the high-frequency electric arc, the gas changes state and becomes positively charged — forming the plasma gas arc. This arc is compressed and concentrated as it passes through the plasma cutting nozzle.
With correct gas pressure applied, the plasma gas exits the nozzle at Mach 1 or faster (1,235 km/h). The gas becomes superheated within the arc, reaching temperatures exceeding 20,000 degrees C — instantly melting the metal and blasting through the workpiece with extreme precision.
