Headux TitanMig 518 iXP — The Flagship: 500A Water-Cooled Industrial MIG Welder, 3-Phase 400V

The most powerful machine in the TitanMig iXP range. 500A output, water-cooled torch, 3-phase 400V, 60% duty cycle at 500A. Double Pulse • Single Pulse • Fast MIG • DC MIG • TIG • MMA. Supports wire up to 1.6mm diameter. Built for the most demanding production environments — heavy structural steel, thick aluminium, continuous high-amperage fabrication where nothing else is enough.

CAPABILITIES & KEY FEATURES

500A Water-Cooled Torch — Maximum Output, All Day

Hardware: Torch cooling system

The water-cooled torch circulates coolant continuously through the torch body — no torch overheating, no forced cooling breaks, no production interruptions. In environments where the welder runs for hours at maximum amperage, this is the only configuration that keeps pace.

Double Pulse MIG — TIG-Quality Welds on Heavy Aluminium

Mode: For heavy aluminium, marine structures, trailer frames

Alternating high/low pulse creates stacked-dime TIG aesthetics at MIG speed. At 500A, handles thick aluminium sections that standard MIG cannot reach — large trailer chassis, marine hull sections, heavy structural aluminium.

Wire Up to 1.6mm — Maximum Deposition for Heavy Steel

Hardware: Wire feed capability

Supports wire diameters up to 1.6mm — significantly larger than the 1.2mm maximum on smaller machines. More metal deposited per minute, faster fill on thick joints, fewer passes on heavy sections.

Fast MIG — Highest Deposition Rate in the Range

Mode: For long bead runs, heavy plate, high-volume structural steel

Maximizes deposition rate at 500A with 1.6mm wire. Faster fill on thick joints, fewer passes, lower cost per metre of weld. Sustained by water-cooled torch for extended production runs without interruption.

3-Phase 400V, 60A — Full Industrial Power Supply

Hardware: Power input

Draws up to 24.7 kVA at full MIG output. Delivers 19.5 kVA of welding output: stable, consistent arc at 500A with no voltage drop under load. Power factor 0.93 — efficient and grid-friendly even at maximum draw.

DC MIG / TIG / MMA — Full Multi-Process Capability

Mode: For carbon steel, stainless steel, site repairs, precision welds

DC MIG for standard carbon and stainless steel production. Lift-arc TIG for precision pipework and thin sections. MMA/Stick up to 500A for the heaviest electrodes and outdoor site conditions — no shielding gas required.

60% Duty Cycle @ 500A — Sustained Maximum Output

Hardware: Thermal performance

60% duty cycle at full 500A (measured at 40°C) — 6 minutes of welding per 10-minute window at maximum output. 100% continuous operation at 385A. Thermal overload protection prevents damage if limits are exceeded.

Synergic LCD — Precision Control, Consistent Quality

Hardware: Control system

Synergic mode auto-calculates optimal parameters from material type and wire diameter. Job Memory stores proven settings so operators recall exact parameters instantly — eliminating setup variation between shifts in multi-operator environments.
