Headux TitanTig 200 DC Pulse

Precision DC TIG for Installation, Repair & Maintenance

⚡ DC TIG • MMA • 200A • Single-Phase • 0.5–200Hz Pulse • HF & Lift Arc Start • IP21S • CE Certified

PROFESSIONAL DC TIG IN A COMPACT PACKAGE

The TitanTig 200 DC Pulse is the ideal dual-process machine for professionals who demand high-quality DC TIG and MMA welding in a lightweight, portable package. At just 6.6 kg and running from a standard 230V single-phase supply, it delivers professional arc performance on stainless steel, mild steel, copper alloys, and titanium — on the bench or on-site.

Digitally controlled with HF arc ignition and full pulse capability, it allows precise setting of Peak Current, Base Current, Pulse Frequency, and Pulse Width — giving you complete control over heat input, penetration, and distortion on every weld.

Pre and post gas time control, slope current time controls, and a Torch Remote Control Interface for remote amperage adjustment in both static and live welding modes make the TitanTig 200 DC Pulse a complete professional tool for installation, repair, and maintenance applications.

KEY FEATURES

Pulse TIG — 0.5 to 200Hz

Full pulse frequency range 0.5–200Hz with adjustable pulse width 5–95%. Set Peak Current, Base Current, Pulse Frequency, and Pulse Width independently for precise heat input control — high performance on ultra-thin surfaces with no deformation.

Multiple Arc Start Modes — HF & Lift TIG

Supports HF (High Frequency) arc start for touchless, contamination-free ignition and Lift TIG for use in HF-sensitive environments. MMA mode also included for electrode stick welding.

Pre/Post Flow & Up/Down Slope

Selectable Pre-flow (0–2s) and Post-flow (0–10s) for precise shielding gas control. Up/Down slope time 0–10s for smooth arc start and crater fill — essential for stainless steel and precision TIG work.

Multi-Sensor Protection

Equipped with temperature, voltage, and current sensors for comprehensive protection against overload and overtemperature. Designed to work with diesel generators and to avoid failures due to voltage spikes.

Torch Remote Control Interface

The unique Torch Remote Control Interface provides remote amperage control from the torch in both static and live welding modes — adjust current without leaving the weld position.

Compact & Portable — 6.6 kg

At just 6.6 kg and 450×150×290 mm, the TitanTig 200 DC Pulse is genuinely portable — a real bonus for professionals moving between sites. Runs from standard 230V single-phase supply with 60A main fuse.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What materials can the TitanTig 200 DC Pulse weld?
The TitanTig 200 DC Pulse supports DC TIG and MMA welding, making it suitable for stainless steel, mild steel, carbon steel, copper alloys, titanium, and other ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Note: aluminium welding requires AC TIG — see our TitanTig ACDC series.
What is the difference between HF TIG and Lift TIG?
HF (High Frequency) TIG starts the arc without touching the tungsten to the workpiece — protecting the tungsten and preventing contamination. Lift TIG starts the arc by briefly touching and lifting the tungsten — useful in environments where HF interference could affect sensitive electronic equipment nearby. The TitanTig 200 DC Pulse supports both modes.
What does pulse welding do and why does it matter?
Pulse TIG alternates between a high peak current (for penetration) and a low base current (for cooling) at a set frequency. This reduces average heat input, minimises distortion, and allows high-quality welding on ultra-thin materials. The TitanTig 200 DC Pulse offers 0.5–200Hz pulse frequency with adjustable pulse width (5–95%), Peak Current, and Base Current — giving full control over the weld pool on every pass.
What does the Torch Remote Control Interface do?
The Torch Remote Control Interface allows you to adjust welding amperage directly from the torch handle — in both static (pre-set) and live (during welding) modes. This means you can fine-tune current without returning to the machine, which is particularly useful for positional welding and on-site work.
Is it generator compatible?
Yes. The TitanTig 200 DC Pulse is designed to work with diesel generators and includes protection against voltage spikes — making it reliable for remote site and outdoor use where grid power is unavailable or unstable.
Is the TitanTig 200 DC Pulse CE certified?
Yes. The TitanTig 200 DC Pulse is fully CE certified and compliant with EU Low Voltage and EMC Directives. IP21S protection and Class F insulation make it suitable for professional workshop and site use across Europe.
What warranty is included?
All Headux machines include a 2-year warranty backed by our German engineering team. Contact us at headux.de/pages/contact-us for warranty claims or technical assistance.
