Headux TitanTig 320 DC Pulse

Finest DC TIG for Industrial Application

DC TIG • MMA • 320A • 3-Phase • 0.5–999Hz Pulse • HF & Lift Arc Start • IP23 • CE Certified

BUILT FOR INDUSTRIAL PRECISION

The TitanTig 320 DC Pulse is a professional-grade 3-phase DC TIG inverter engineered for demanding industrial environments. With a 320A output range, high-frequency pulse capability up to 999Hz, and a 40% duty cycle at maximum current, it delivers consistent, high-quality welds on stainless steel, mild steel, copper alloys, titanium, and other ferrous and non-ferrous metals.

Designed for fabrication shops, mechanical contractors, and industrial maintenance teams where arc stability, heat control, and uptime are non-negotiable. IP23 protection, Class H insulation, and multi-sensor protection make it equally at home in workshop and on-site environments. Optional water cooling unit and trolley extend its capability for continuous heavy-duty operation.

KEY FEATURES

High-Frequency Pulse — 0.5 to 999Hz

Full pulse frequency range from 0.5Hz (slow pulse for positional welding) to 999Hz (high-frequency pulse for ultra-thin materials with minimal heat input and no deformation). Pulse width adjustable 5–95%.

HF Arc Start & Lift TIG

Supports both HF (High Frequency) arc start for touchless ignition and Lift TIG for environments where HF interference must be avoided. Reliable arc ignition in all conditions.

Heavy-Duty Industrial Cycle

40% duty cycle at 320A (Imax), 261A at 60%, and 202A at 100% continuous output — all at 40°C ambient. Engineered for sustained production welding in demanding industrial environments.

Multi-Sensor Protection

Temperature, voltage, and current sensors provide comprehensive protection against overload, overtemperature, and power fluctuations. IP23 ingress protection for workshop and outdoor site use.

Selectable Pre/Post Flow & Slope

Pre-flow 0–2s / Post-flow 0–10s for precise shielding gas control. Up/Down slope time 0–10s for smooth arc start and crater fill — critical for stainless steel and precision TIG work.

3-Phase Input — Stable Industrial Power

3-Phase AC 400V (±15%) 50–60Hz input for stable, balanced power draw in industrial facilities. 40A main fuse. High power factor of 0.93 and 85% efficiency minimise energy costs at high output.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What materials can the TitanTig 320 DC Pulse weld?
The TitanTig 320 DC Pulse supports DC TIG and MMA welding, making it suitable for stainless steel, mild steel, carbon steel, copper alloys, titanium, and other ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Note: aluminium welding requires AC TIG — see our TitanTig ACDC series.
What is the difference between HF TIG and Lift TIG?
HF (High Frequency) TIG starts the arc without touching the tungsten to the workpiece — protecting the tungsten and preventing contamination. Lift TIG starts the arc by briefly touching and lifting the tungsten — useful in environments where HF interference could affect sensitive electronic equipment nearby. The TitanTig 320 DC Pulse supports both modes.
What does 0.5–999Hz pulse frequency mean in practice?
Pulse frequency controls how rapidly the welding current alternates between peak and background levels. Low frequency (0.5–10Hz) creates a visible pulsing effect useful for positional welding and controlling the weld pool manually. High frequency (100–999Hz) produces a focused, stiff arc with reduced heat input — ideal for ultra-thin materials, precision fabrication, and minimising distortion. Pulse width (5–95%) controls the ratio of peak to background current time.
Does it require 3-phase power?
Yes. The TitanTig 320 DC Pulse requires 3-Phase AC 400V (±15%) 50–60Hz input — standard industrial power supply in EU workshops and factories. It is not compatible with single-phase 230V supply. For single-phase DC TIG welding, see our TitanTig 200 ACDC series.
Can I add a water cooling unit?
Yes. An optional Water Cooler Unit (A91001-312) is available, enabling the use of water-cooled TIG torches for continuous heavy-duty operation. A 5m WP18 Water Cooled Torch (A13301-050) is also available as an optional accessory. Water cooling is recommended for sustained high-current TIG welding in production environments.
Is the TitanTig 320 DC Pulse CE certified?
Yes. The TitanTig 320 DC Pulse is fully CE certified and compliant with EU Low Voltage and EMC Directives. IP23 protection and Class H insulation make it suitable for professional workshop and on-site use across Europe.
What warranty is included?
All Headux machines include a 2-year warranty backed by our German engineering team. Contact us at headux.de/pages/contact-us for warranty claims or technical assistance.
